Senior Tax Accountant

Job Summary

A Senior Tax Analyst will support and assist the Senior Director of Tax in all aspects of the corporate tax function. This position is critical to the Finance Department as it operates to implement effective and strategic tax planning, provide cash tax management, and ensure global compliance with tax laws.  You will be joining a team with high visibility and exposure to Senior Management and throughout the entire organization. The ideal candidate is independent, hands-on, and a self-directed individual, with excellent project management and tax research skills. 


Responsibilities

  • Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision (ASC-740, Accounting for Income Taxes), including information gathering and review, and execution of internal controls with appropriate documentation.
  • Provide support of day to day aspects as they arise including but not limited to non-income tax matters, state nexus, equity matters, and permanent establishment issues.  
  • Manage special projects including R&D tax credit, state tax planning, and other.  
  • Review quarterly estimated tax and annual extension payment calculations, review of Federal and state tax filings, conduct tax research, and provide support on tax audits.  
  • Research tax issues and assist with documentation and communication of tax positions.
  • Help to refine processes and implement best practices for the group.  
  • Assist with acquisition tax planning and integration into tax function, as necessary.  
  • Identify, initiate, and execute tax planning opportunities.  


Requirements

  • 4-6 years of tax experience
  • Big 4 background preferred
  • CPA, MST or MBA a plus
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels
  • Excellent tax research skills
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • High level of problem solving and intellectual curiosity with the ability to communicate difficult tax technical concepts
