Senior Revenue Accountant

Job Summary

The Senior Revenue Accountant will be an integral part of our revenue recognition process and plays a key role in ensuring the accurate accounting and reporting of revenue.  This individual will be responsible for tracking the status of all gross-to-net revenue deductions and preparing the documentation required by SOX 404 for the revenue of the Company. Responsibilities will also include projections of the future gross to net revenue deductions. This role will be highly visible throughout the organization while working closely with the Corporate Controller, Marketing, Trade and other departments.  


  • Responsible for detailed tracking of net sales deductions, including rebates, allowances and other deductions. Accurate tracking of these items is critical to the Company’s ability to recognize revenue in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Responsible for gross to net analysis including detailed schedules with trend analysis and inventory holdings at the wholesale and retail level.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales operations, and other departments to gather all required data and to complete and understand required monthly and quarterly analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with all controls, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with our audit over internal controls.
  • Completing documentation required in the SOX-404 environment relating to the Company’s revenue.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing procedures to improve measurement and controls of revenue recognition.
  • Consistently exercise independent judgement with justification and rational.
  • Working with the CFO to project future revenue trends.


  • 5 plus years of general accounting experience or 2 plus years in public accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Experience in pharmaceutical preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and adopt to changing priorities.
  • Attention to details with ability to process large amounts of data.
