Senior Corporate Accountant

Job Summary

The senior corporate accountant position is responsible for recording the cost of newly-acquired fixed assets (both tangible and intangible), tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets. In addition, this position will be responsible for recording straight-line charges and related balances.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Company's fixed assets, and accumulated depreciation and amortization sub ledgers
  • Tracking the compilation of development projects, including interest, insurance taxes, and classifying them appropriately upon completion
  • Preparing the monthly analysis of capitalization of internal development costs


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting 
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • 3+ years of experience, preferably in the real estate industry, or in public accounting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) software required
  • Proficiency with FAS and MRI preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
