Senior Accounting Analyst

Job Summary

The Sr Accounting Analyst will have responsibility for preforming the general ledger bookkeeping, treasury management, AR/AP, bank reconciliations, implementing and maintaining cash controls and year end procedures.  Qualified candidates will have people management experience, excellent communication skills and be analytical thinkers with a deep understanding of accounting principles.


Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned accounting processes including asset accounting and cost/finance accounting
  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements, quarterly balance sheets, annual statements, and year-end audits
  • Implement timely, complete, and correct processing and/or reporting of year-end matters (e.g. basis of calculation accrual for outstanding invoices, physical inventories)
  • Oversee efficient business administration processes to ensure accounts receivable/payable workflow invoices are accurate and timely entry occurs in accounts and previously installed systems
  • Ensure correct archiving of accounting and credit documents as well as debit notes according to national business and tax law
  • Implement technical system tests and technical releases within the scope of projects and system releases


Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Finance or Accounting
  • 2+ years of prior experience
  • Ability to multi-task and be proactive in a fast-paced environment is essential
  • Detail oriented with strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with a variety of colleagues and senior management
  • MBA
  • Experience working with a big four firm preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities
