Lead Associate - General Accounting

Job Summary

Serve as a leader of the corporate accounting general ledger team, supporting all monthly close and general accounting processes for the company at its headquarters.


Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to GA team-members, business partners, and finance colleagues, coordinate tasking, priorities, and schedules, and lead key areas around the close cycle.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and fluctuation analyses for key business processes, including accrued expenses, equity accounting, and cash.
  • Support company financial, internal, and regulatory audits and manage and contribute to ongoing process improvement projects and strategic planning.
  • Participate in the design of new accounting processes related to acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic alliances and purchases of equity interests.
  • Work with financial analytics and strategy, external financial reporting, accounting policy, and auditors to ensure internal controls are followed and proper accounting is performed in a timely and accurate manner for accounting consultations and assist with evolving business needs and special projects, as requested.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting with US GAAP
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel
  • Knowledge of compliance with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley, including identifying and documenting key controls and processes, assisting with remediation activities, and supporting related internal controls testing
  • Ability to handle details, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to be a team player who can work independently and in a cross-functional environment
  • BA or BS degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA License
