Job Summary

To oversee the Technical Accounting team and related activities required to maintain the company’s financial statements. Manage the internal and external reporting functions of our company at the corporate level. Ensure compliance with local, state and Federal laws and regulations. To contribute in the direction/execution of the department’s strategic objectives and ensuring alignment with the company's goals and strategies.


  • Oversee activities of the Technical Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate recordation of transactions and accounting activities including detailed analytical review of Balance Sheet accounts, validation of variance reports to ensure reasonable and accurate justification
  • Review and approve work papers and related reconciliations for all technical accounting entries to include proper disposition of any significantly aged un-reconciled amounts in accordance with policy
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure clean and timely year end internal and external audits
  • Monitor new or changes to existing accounting pronouncements and assess impact on financial statements
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure financial statement disclosures are presented properly in accordance with GAAP
  • Participate as leader and partner with the business units in the migration efforts for compliance with new accounting requirements based on ASC’s or ASUs (CECL, revenue recognition, and leasing standards)
  • Lead and drive the evaluation of complex technical accounting issues, research, and present conclusions
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant industry standards, best practices, business processes and technology used within related business areas to ensure compliance with policy, vendor contractual requirements, procedures, processes and standards


  • Bachelor’s degree in  Accounting related field or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
  • Extensive experience with financial accounting and management, including techniques used in the analysis and reporting of financial information, and review/proofing
  • Extensive experience in a financial reporting/general ledger area
  • Extensive experience researching and applying GAAP, ASC, ASU
  • Advanced skill working with financial accounting systems used in the management and analysis of financial data
  • Expert skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
  • Expert analytical/quantitative, reconciliation and deductive reasoning skills
  • Expert experience working with cross-functional teams and leading projects
  • Ability to establish effective policies and procedures
